Summary:
Greening the Mall took the benefits of gardening and applied them to this unlikely context with great success. The Geelong Mall, in the Geelong CBD, has been troubled by antisocial behaviours for many years. We got the Gangsters gardening, and the Grandparents too, let me show you how.
The aim of the garden project was to design a healing garden, a garden for contemplation and rejuvenation. I named it Destination Recharge. This garden was a representation of what a healing garden can be like; whether it is on a domestic scale or in a larger context. The principles applied are what made it a restorative garden.
