Summary:

Landscape architects/designers/horticulturists are being called upon to design therapeutic garden spaces as well to create, or provide input into, therapeutic horticulture programs.

This presentation aims to provide an overview of what you need to know about the role of the allied health professionals [AHP] you may meet in the course of designing spaces or creating programs and how you can work effectively with them.  We will cover:

• The different professionals who make up the ‘allied health professional’ groups and their varying perspectives, priorities and goals in creating a TH space or a TH program.
• The essential knowledge/skills/qualifications you should have to work effectively with the AHP world.
• How to speak AHP language – some need-to-know terminology.
• Where to learn more.
