Discover gardening’s restorative power on this 1-hour small-group tour (max 10) at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show. Explore show gardens and learn about how different design elements enhance health and wellbeing, and discover how gardening can support your wellness.
Led by Therapeutic Horticulture Australia (THA), this tour also introduces some of the practices and research supporting the growing field of Therapeutic Horticulture.
The tours are free and proudly supported by Citywide. Please note that entry to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show must be purchased separately.
The tours will start promptly. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier to register. The tour meeting point is at the Beyond Blue site (site number B57, on the Nicholson St side of the show).
Please advise in advance if you are unable to make it to the tour so that another can join in your place. We look forward to seeing you at the show! Contact details will be provided upon registration.
Tours in Auslan
The tours on Thursday 26th March at 10:30am (Group 2), and Sunday 29th March at 10:30am (Group 2) will be co-facilitated by THA Committee Member Patrick Wain who is Deaf and will facilitate in Auslan, with interpreters present for hearing attendees and for garden information presented in English. These tours are open to anyone, but priority will be given to Deaf/HOH bookings.”
