Summary: This research explores how first-generation farmers experience unique dimensions of personal meaning through the construction of new agricultural perspectives. Combining findings from the study with insights from the author’s fifteen years’ experience facilitating social change programs, the presentation provides a toolkit for deepening program design and facilitation in food system horticulture.
