THA AGM | 25th November 2025

Join the THA community as we celebrate another monumental year at the THA AGM, followed by a Panel Discussion with guest speakers.

‘If I couldn’t garden, I wouldn’t enjoy life’: Older adults’ perspectives on housing and gardening. Authored by Zoe Goodall, Jonathan Kingsley, Jessica Mackelprang, Wendy Stone, Phil Pettitt.
Zoe Goodall and Phil Pettitt will join Tara Graham-Cochrane to discuss this research project aimed to learn more about how older adults’ housing affects their gardening activities. We believe that everyone who wants to garden should be able to garden. To support more older adults to garden, we first need to understand the barriers to this activity. We also want to understand what motivates older adults to garden and what factors enable gardening. From this, we can work towards making gardening more accessible to a wider range of people, whatever their housing circumstances.
