🌿 Root Down Horticultural Therapy & Counselling 🌿
Hi everyone! I’m Simon McIntosh, a local from the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, and I’m excited to introduce my business, Root Down Horticultural Therapy & Counselling. We offer a unique blend of nature-based therapy that’s perfect for those who might be a bit reluctant to engage in traditional counselling settings.
🌱 Local & Personal: Root Down is all about connecting with nature to enhance wellbeing. I’m local, just like you, and we know the power that our stunning surroundings can have on mental health.
🚶♂️ Walk & Talk Therapy: Sometimes, the best conversations happen while walking. That’s why I offer walk and talk therapy sessions in two of the most serene locations around—Olinda Botanical Gardens and The Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens. These sessions are perfect for those who feel more comfortable moving than sitting in an office.
🌻 Supporting Everyone: Whether it’s a husband who’s hesitant to seek help, or a child who could benefit from a wellbeing boost, Root Down is designed to meet their needs in a relaxed, supportive environment.
👨🏫 Qualified & Registered: I’m a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), a registered teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT), and a certified Horticultural Therapist with Therapeutic Horticulture Australia (THA). Plus, I’m an official operator registered with Parks Victoria, so you know you’re in good hands.
If you’re looking for a unique and effective way to support the wellbeing of your family, I’d love to connect. Let’s grow together! 🌱
