I am a Horticulturist, Therapeutic Horticulture Practitioner, Educator and Support Worker based in Victoria’s North East Melbourne region. I founded Hortopia Landscapes in 2019 to deliver person-centred therapeutic gardening and horticulture education programs for Carers Groups, older adults with cognitive impairment, and people with disability. I work across home gardens, aged care, community learning hubs and neighbourhood houses.
As a SuppHorticulturist at Caring Farms Co-Op urban farm, I work-beside farmers with intellectual and physical disabilities, supporting meaningful and inclusive vocational opportunities through organic market gardening, providing food to local community groups and businesses.
As Environmental Education Officer at a community environment farm, I facilitate community horticulture workshops and sustainability programs for school groups from across Melbourne, including special developmental and autism schools.
I believe passionately in the power of nature to improve social, physical and mental wellbeing, which is at the heart of every program I design and facilitate.
